An ordinary yet extraordinary young woman.....

Meagan McCain

Meagan McCain was born September 6, 1989, the only child of Mark and Donna McCain.  Meagan's life was fairly ordinary by the world's standards; yet, those who knew her remember her as an extraordinary presence.  Perhaps her most outstanding trait was her outgoing personality that kept her in a world where there were no strangers - only friends that she didn't know yet.

“I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future”
— Jeremiah 29:11, NIV

Meagan's Family

Meagan's parents are Mark and Donna McCain of Poteet, TX.  She was the oldest grandchild for both sets of her grandparents:  Don & Linda Johnson and Bill & Evellyn McCain, all of Piedmont, AL.  Meagan's three sets of uncle's and aunt's were all an important part of her life.  At one year of age, she was the flower girl in her Uncle Danny and Aunt Michele's wedding.  Uncle Jay and Aunt Sandra helped develop her hunting skills, including shooting both a rifle and a compound bow.  Uncle David and Aunt Jennifer loved to play and their house was a favorite place for Meagan.  Meagan looked up to her Uncle Danny's stepson Anthony, who was seven years older than she was.  She was delighted to get new cousins Taylor, Jared, Kristen, Jayden and Emily; who were all born between the time she was seven and sixteen.  Meagan was also close to her "Great's": Uncle William and Aunt Katy, Mama Hycie and Mama Taylor as well as all the Virginia cousins.  Her second cousin Cain Eric was one of her longtime friends.  Honorary family members Aunt Jean, Aunt Lora, Uncle Joey, Allyson, Madison and Carson were also important players in her life.
